For the most part at least, many bingo and gambling websites don’t appear to have that much of a charitable inclination. These websites are about making as much money as possible- both for the members, avidly gaming their evenings away, and for the owners. And there’s nothing particularly wrong with that exactly; capitalism isn’t a negative force in the world until someone comes along and rigs the system.
Nevertheless, we’ve often thought that it would be nice to see a little more philanthropy and giving exhibited by these websites. Many are raking in serious profits for the great unknown, faceless folk behind the scenes, whilst even more causes suffer from a lack of funding, despite the fact they are both essential issues to address, and incredibly worthy. Within this context, then, Pink Ribbon Bingo is a complete anomaly – a full bingo site that also looks to put something back into society by sending cash to a very, very important recipient.
By now the Pink Ribbon in question is known throughout most of the world as a symbol of the fight against breast cancer. This is one of the biggest health concerns we currently face, and while you could argue that this is one of the diseases that is rarely out of the spotlight, the fact that other conditions don’t have their own bingo donor should not detract from the good that is being done by Pink Ribbon Bingo for this cause.
Ethical point made, let’s move on to the actual site itself. When the homepage first opens up you’ll quickly realise that this is definitely an all-singing, all-dancing variety. Or maybe that should be all-flying. The main image shows a happy, smiling woman, wearing a superhero outfit with the iconic Pink Ribbon emblazoned across her chest. She’s moving in a way that suggests taking off, whilst tiny animated details bring the background to life, and accentuate the glistening gold of the sign that reads ‘Deposit £10, Play With £30’. It’s a busy, but well designed sight to behold, and one that we’re really rather taken by.
Below all that, you’ll see four box outs, each advertising a different selling point. The first and, arguably, most important, is the link to the breast cancer charity website. Click on this and you’ll be taken directly to the cause’s URL where you can learn more about the important work being done to try and one day hopefully beat the disease. Next to that, there’s a click through for one of the Progressive Jackpot games. After that, you’ll see a click link for Promotions, and, finally, Free Games.
We’re really quite pleased with all this information, as it immediately makes it clear that you don’t just have to play bingo here – there are other games. Add to this the fact that you can also see there are options to play for free, and quickly it becomes quite obvious that there is a lot going on in this website. We’re not even done on the homepage analysis, either.
Below those box outs, you’ll see another three – one shows that there is a Refer A Friend bonus, which is always nice to have. Then there’s the Bingo Specials & Free Bingo table, where you can see the games scheduled to begin, and how much it costs to buy into them. Finally, there’s a Featured Games box, which, on rotation, highlights games that are proving particularly popular amongst users. The overall point being there’s a lot of detail here, and all the better for it.
Needless to say, everyone is here to play a game, no matter what that game may be, and we’re happy to say that when you click on the Games menu tab from the row of options at the top of the homepage, you actually do get a relatively in-depth breakdown of the kind of games on offer. So many other websites reveal nothing of their specific content before you sign up for an account, which we’ve always found really quite irritating. The sign up process is always simple, but perhaps not that lightning fast, and so to go through the entire thing only to then find out you’re not that bothered about the games you have to choose from is really frustrating. Basically a waste of time and effort.
Pink Ribbon Bingo, which arrived on the scene in 2011, has plenty of bingo games to keep you busy, and again this is an improvement on so many other sites out there. Pink Hearts, for example, offers ‘cheap as chips bingo’ and guaranteed jackpots. ABC Jackpots begin at 9.30pm on the last day of the month, and come with some massive prizes for a very small investment of money. 75 Ball Bingo is the classic variety, which we’re happy to see offered here. Then there’s also 90 Ball Bingo, and, finally, High 5 Bingo.
One of the unique parts of Pink Ribbon Bingo is the Team Bingo option, which is a nice fit for this website considering the solidarity and camaraderie involved in raising money for causes such as breast cancer. Many people host sponsored social events or sign up for 10K runs with other people for support, and this is almost the same. Except with online bingo, of course.
This works in a rather innovative way, too. Basically players can either join forces, or be assigned to a team. Then when each individual team member plays a game, their efforts go towards increasing the overall score of the entire team. This means that you don’t necessarily all need to be signed in at the same time to make sure you’re staying in the competition. Winners are announced at the end of the month’s Team Bingo play, and awarded bonus points for coming in first (gold), second (silver), or third (bronze).
Bingo isn’t the only game on offer, either. Within the Games section of the site you’ll see there are also Coverall Jackpots and Progressive Jackpots you can gamble on. Neither offer anything particularly new, but it is nice not to be completely limited to bingo and only bingo.
There is the equivalent to a loyalty scheme, but in a much more positive way. The more you play, the more points you can build up, and the higher up the superhero level you go. At the same time, the more you play the more the website will donate to charity on your behalf, from its own profits. Which is nice.
As a final point to consider before we conclude, Pink Ribbon Bingo also has an abundance of great promotions on offer, all of which mean you can win extra big cash prizes without having to put in loads more money. Everyone likes getting a bonus, and this is exactly the point. There are far more offers and bonuses here than we’re often used to on similar sites, and as such you might say the folk responsible for putting them together have really excelled themselves.

As you can probably tell by now, we’re massive, massive fans of Pink Ribbon Bingo. Few other sites, if any, have as good promotions on, or indeed as good quality bingo, whilst also giving you the peace of mind that anything you lose isn’t just being sucked into some dodgy guy’s bank account. By ensuring that some profit goes to a really important charity, everyone is a winner. Unless you lose every game, but that’s not the website’s fault.
