Deals with Apple and Bally’s

An iGaming giant and a leading specialized payments platform have both entered into online finance-related partnerships with iconic American brands Apple and Bally’s.

On Monday, London-headquartered multinational online payments company Paysafe Limited announced a broad partnership with Bally’s Corporation. The deal allows Paysafe to grow its online payments footprint in Arizona and New Jersey via Bally’s sportsbook and iCasino brands.

Paysafe took to Twitter with news of its Bally’s agreement:

Also on Monday, SkillOnNet announced that it has added Apple Pay to its payment gateway for deposits and withdrawals. SkillOnNet — the Europe-based software provider behind leading online casino brands such as PlayOJO and DrückGlück — can now offer casino brands on its UK, Spanish, German, Canadian, Danish, Portuguese, and Swedish networks the choice of Apple Pay.

According to a statement from SkillOnNet, “Apple Pay is fast and safe, offering high levels of security and unprecedented privacy which has seen it become popular with online casino players in markets around the world.”

enables players to make online casino transactions without sharing their bank account details

SkillOnNet said Apple Pay is popular because it enables players to make online casino transactions without sharing their bank account details. The statement said Apple Pay transactions get “quickly validated either with a passcode, Touch ID, Face ID or by double-tapping the side of their Apple Watch.”

Apple Pay joins SkillOnNet’s other payment options, including Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, and PayPal.

SkillOnNet’s sales and marketing director Michael Golembo said online casino players “like the speed at which [Apple Pay] allows them to make deposits and withdrawals securely.”

Playsafe expands in Arizona, New Jersey

Meanwhile, over at Paysafe, its new partnership with Bally’s allows it to streamline player deposits for Arizona’s Bally Bet digital sportsbook and New Jersey’s BallyCasino brand.

Paysafe is an industry-leading player in payment processing, digital wallet, and online cash solutions, posting an annualized transactional volume of $100bn in 2020. It offers over 70 payment types in over 40 currencies around the world.

Paysafe’s integrations with Bally’s sportsbetting and iGaming platforms are, according to a Paysafe news release, expected to to be “upgraded imminently to allow access to the specialized iGaming payments provider’s suite of alternative payment methods (APMs).”

Other payment channels for online bettors include Skrill USA, Paysafecash, with paysafecard eCash solutions for players who prefer betting online with cash.

The Bally-Paysafe partnership phase two will see an online sportsbook integration, which the payment platform expects to go live in the coming months.

American gaming icon

Paysafe’s CEO of North America iGaming, Zak Cutler, said his brand was “incredibly proud” of the tie-up with a brand that “has played a ubiquitous role in the evolution of American and global gaming for nearly 50 years.”

Cutler said the short-term strategy was to streamline payment acceptance and increase Arizona and New Jersey customer conversions for Bally’s sports-wagering and iGaming brands. The CEO said extending the partnership into other states was in the cards long-term.

Bally’s Interactive’s COO North America, Adi Dhandhania, said the partnership with Paysafe was “an important step in elevating the customer experience for all of our users.”
