gamblers can now make cash deposits to their online Caesars accounts

Caesars announced on Tuesday it is introducing machines to 53 small businesses in the district that have a license to offer betting. A feature of the new machines is that gamblers can now make cash deposits to their online Caesars accounts, as well as place bets directly through them.

Commening on the rollout of these kiosks, Caesars Digital President Eric Hession thanked the Washington DC Office of Lottery and Gaming for allowing the operator to take over the role. He believes it will help build the brand in the region.

Caesars gradually expanded its presence in the jurisdiction in recent years, first when launching a retail sportsbook at the Capital One Arena, home to the Washington Capitals and Wizards. This was the first professional sports stadium in the US to have a retail sportsbook when it opened in 2021. The operator then launched a district-wide online sportsbook in July when the market opened up for the first time to multiple operators.
